PLATINUM ULTOR DRVINIG SCHOOL programme has been launched in cooperation with Volvo Trucks Driver Training. The programme comprises a cycle of trainings which are intended to increase road safety and raise the awareness in terms of economical use of vehicles. The first courses for selected ORLEN Oil clients took place on 25-27 May in Młochów, the headquarters of Volvo Group Trucks Poland.
The PLATINUM ULTOR DRIVING SCHOOL programme for professional drivers
includes theoretical training and practical exercises in safe and
economical driving. During the first part of the training, the
participants expand their theoretical knowledge concerning driving
technique, safety aspects and fuel economics as well as innovative
solutions used in Volvo trucks, which contribute to increased safety and
fuel savings.
The second part of the training involves driving a
unit comprising a Volvo FH 500 HP truck tractor and a loaded trailer
with a total weight of 39 tonnes. Each driver rides a 36-kilometre-long
course within a defined time limit. The rides are subject to evaluation –
the best fuel consumption result from the three days of training in a
given month qualifies the participant for the main competition in
December this year.
